California High School Softball - Del Oro bounces Laguna Creek

April 30, 2022: Loomis, CA 95650

The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Del Oro Golden Eagles (Loomis, CA) and the visiting Laguna Creek Cardinals (Elk Grove, CA), saw Del Oro's softball squad nip Laguna Creek by a count of 8-1.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 20-3 record. They take the field next when they host Rocklin for a Sierra Foothill League match on Wednesday, May 4. Del Oro will face a Thunder squad coming off a 10-7 league win over Granite Bay (Granite Bay, CA). The Thunder record now stands at 15-9.

With the loss, Laguna Creek falls to 6-13 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Monterey Trail (Elk Grove, CA) to face the Mustangs in a Metropolitan Conference match on Tuesday, May 3. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 10-6. Monterey Trail won 8-2 in their recent league match against Kennedy (Sacramento, CA)
