Liberty Union Lions (Baltimore, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Fairfield Union Falcons (Lancaster, OH), 13-7 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamilton Township for a Mid-State - Buckeye challenge on Monday, May 2. Liberty Union will face a Rangers squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Teays Valley (Ashville, OH). The Rangers record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Fairfield Union falls to 10-7 on the year. The Falcons travel to Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, OH) to clash with the Aces in a Mid-State - Buckeye game on Monday, May 2. The Aces come into the game with a record of 2-11. Amanda-Clearcreek lost 13-10 in their recent non-league game against Crooksville (Crooksville, OH)
