Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL), 7-3 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they host Batavia for a DuKane challenge on Saturday, April 30. Plainfield South will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-2 league loss to St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Plainfield Central falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Yorkville (Yorkville, IL) to face the Foxes in a Suburban Prairie - South challenge on Monday, May 2. The Foxes enter the challenge with a record of 18-3. Yorkville won 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL)
