Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) and the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), saw Louisa County's baseball squad knock off Monticello by a count of 8-1.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a Jefferson battle, on Friday, May 3. Louisa County will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Fighting Hornets enter the battle with a 8-7 record after their 10-1 league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA).

The Mustangs now possess a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Charlottesville for a Jefferson battle on Thursday, May 2. Monticello will play a Black Knights squad coming off a 9-3 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-9.
