Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC) and the visiting Martin County Knights (Williamston, NC), saw Perquimans's baseball squad knock off Martin County by a count of 10-3.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC) in a Four Rivers 1A battle, on Thursday, May 2. Perquimans will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 10-11 record after their 9-5 non-league win over Gates County (Gatesville, NC).
