The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), witnessed Mount Pleasant's baseball team get by North Stanly by a tally of 1-0.
The Tigers (14-9) will now prepare for their match against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals go into the non-league match with a 17-6 record. In their last match, Union Academy edged South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 7-1, in a non-league match.
