The Huskies enter the bout with a record of 8-8. Ashe County lost 6-0 in their recent league bout against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout, on Friday, May 3. South Caldwell will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Cougars enter the bout with a 6-7 record after their 5-1 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
