The Altamont Indians softball team scored 3 runs and limited the host Dieterich Movin Maroons to 2 in the Indians non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Altamont moves its record to 12-8 on the year. The Indians travel to St. Anthony (Effingham, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 1. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 20-2. St. Anthony won 12-0 in their recent non-league game against North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL)

In their next game, the Movin Maroons clash with the Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats (Cowden, IL) in a Egyptian Illini game, on Monday, May 6. Dieterich will attempt to move on its 12-14 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 3-12 record after their 10-0 league loss to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL).
