Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI), 6-3 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Linden-Hubbell for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. Hancock will battle a Lakes squad coming off a 10-9 non-league loss to Houghton (Houghton, MI). The Lakes record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Calumet falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Copper kings host Gwinn (Gwinn, MI) to battle the Modeltowners in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. The Modeltowners enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
