McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meadville for a District 10 Region 5 challenge on Thursday, May 2. McDowell will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Jamestown (Jamestown, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Conneaut Area falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Erie (Erie, PA) to battle the Royals in a District 10 Region 5 challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 1-11. Erie won 19-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Conneaut (Conneaut, OH)
