Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lindhurst Blazers (Olivehurst, CA), 18-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 16-8 record. They take the field next when they host Bear River for a Pioneer Valley League challenge on Thursday, May 2. Wheatland will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Lindhurst falls to 5-16 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Center (Antelope, CA) to battle the Cougars in a Pioneer Valley League challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-13. Center lost 17-4 in their recent league challenge against Colfax (Colfax, CA)
