The Newport Buffaloes softball team scored 18 runs and limited the host Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack to 1 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Newport moves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Buffaloes travel to Halifax (Halifax, PA) to play the Wildcats in a Tri-Valley game on Monday, May 6. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 4-11. Halifax lost 12-0 in their recent league game against Susquenita (Duncannon, PA)

In their next game, the WolfPack play the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans (Elizabethville, PA) in a Tri-Valley game, on Tuesday, May 7. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will attempt to move on its 0-15 season record. The Trojans come into the game with a 8-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Juniata (Mifflintown, PA).
