Platteville Hillmen (Platteville, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Richland Center Hornets (Richland Center, WI), 10-8 in a league challenge.

The Hillmen now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie du Chien for a SWC challenge on Thursday, May 2. Platteville will battle a Blackhawks squad coming off a 11-9 league loss to Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Richland Center falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Lancaster (Lancaster, WI) to battle the Flying Arrows in a SWC challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Flying Arrows enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Lancaster lost 6-4 in their recent league challenge against River Valley (Spring Green, WI)
