Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Whitwell Tigers (Whitwell, TN) and the visiting Signal Mountain Eagles (Signal Mountain, TN), witnessed Whitwell's softball squad prevail over Signal Mountain by a count of 11-0.

The Tigers now sport a 13-11 record. They play next when they travel to Bradley Central for a non-league match on Wednesday, May 1. Whitwell will face a Bears squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Cleveland (Cleveland, TN). The Bears record now stands at 11-16.

With the loss, Signal Mountain moves to 2-14 on the season. The Eagles host Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN) to face the Lions in a 3A District 6 match on Friday, May 3. The Lions go into the match with a record of 2-11. Red Bank lost 16-6 in their recent non-league match against Sequatchie County (Dunlap, TN)
