The South Laurel Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Whitley County Colonels to 0 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, South Laurel improves its record to 18-6 on the year. The Cardinals host Garrard County (Lancaster, KY) to clash with the Golden Lions in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 30. The Golden Lions come into the game with a record of 9-13. Garrard County lost 22-18 in their recent non-league game against Southwestern (Somerset, KY)

In their next game, the Colonels clash with the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a District 50 game, on Thursday, May 2. Whitley County will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Redhounds come into the game with a 10-9 record after their 16-1 league win over Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY).
