The Springfield Spartans nipped the visiting Streetsboro Rockets softball squad by a final score of 10-9 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Spartans (10-7) will now prepare for their battle against Norton (Norton, OH). The Panthers enter the Metro Athletic Conference challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Norton was nipped by Field (Mogadore, OH), 10-2, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Streetsboro falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Rockets host Coventry (Akron, OH) to battle the Comets in a Metro Athletic Conference challenge on Thursday, May 2. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. Coventry won 19-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Medina Christian Academy (Medina, OH)
