In Wednesday's league game, the host Hardin Valley Academy Hawks baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the William Blount Governors.
The Hawks (20-9) will now prepare for their game against Farragut (Knoxville, TN). The Admirals go into the 4A District 4 game with a 22-6 record. In their last game, Farragut nudged William Blount (Maryville, TN), 9-4, in a league game.
Next, the Governors play the West Rebels (Knoxville, TN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 1. William Blount will attempt to improve on its 16-17 season record. The Rebels go into the game with a 18-16 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN).
