In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Grossmont Foothillers.

The Monarchs (20-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Matadors come into the Grossmont Valley challenge with a 4-29 record. In their last challenge, Mount Miguel lost by Valhalla (El Cajon, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Foothillers play the El Cajon Valley Braves (El Cajon, CA) in a Grossmont Hills challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Grossmont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 28-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to San Marcos (San Marcos, CA).
