The Madison Patriots soccer squad scored 7 points and held the host Mountain Heritage Cougars to 1 in the Patriots league victory on Wednesday.

The Patriots now hold a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Owen for a Western Highlands 1A/2A bout on Monday, May 5. Madison will play a Warhorses squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Mountain Heritage moves to 4-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, May 2. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Pisgah lost 9-0 in their recent league bout against West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC)
