New York High School Lacrosse - Williamsville South nipped by Grand Island

April 30, 2025: Williamsville, NY 14221

The Grand Island Vikings held off the host Williamsville South Billies lacrosse team by a tally of 11-10 in Wednesday's league match.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY) in a Class C match, on Friday, May 2. Grand Island will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Tigers come into the match with a 6-3 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Sweet Home (Amherst, NY).

The Billies (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Iroquois (Elma, NY). The Redhawks come into the Class C match with a 3-7 record. In their last match, Iroquois was tipped by Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY), 13-12, in a league match.
