Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Ferris Saxons (Spokane, WA) and the visiting Mead Panthers (Spokane, WA), saw Ferris's soccer squad hold off Mead by a count of 2-1.

The Saxons (2-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Shadle Park (Spokane, WA). The Highlanders go into the 3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Shadle Park was nudged by Gonzaga Prep (Spokane, WA), 5-1, in a league challenge.

With the loss, Mead moves to 4-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Mt. Spokane (Mead, WA) to encounter the Wildcats in a 3A/4A Greater Spokane challenge on Friday, May 2. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Mt. Spokane lost 3-1 in their recent league challenge against Lewis & Clark (Spokane, WA)
