North Carolina High School Softball - East Columbus bounces Ashley

April 30, 2025: Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450

The East Columbus Gators softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle to 0 in the Gators non-league win on Wednesday.

The Gators now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Columbus for a Waccamaw 1A/2A battle on Friday, May 2. East Columbus will confront a Vikings team coming off a 19-1 league loss to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Ashley moves to 3-19 on the season. The Screaming eagle travel to North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to confront the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle on Thursday, May 1. The Scorpions come into the battle with a record of 11-10. North Brunswick lost 7-5 in their recent league battle against Laney (Wilmington, NC)

East Columbus
