The Sentinel Spartans triumphed over the host Big Sky Eagles softball squad by a count of 10-5 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Butte Bulldogs (Butte, MT) in a AA Western challenge, on Thursday, May 1. Sentinel will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 15-4 league win over Flathead (Kalispell, MT).

The Eagles (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hellgate (Missoula, MT). The Knights enter the AA Western challenge with a 3-10 record. In their last challenge, Hellgate was routed by Helena (Helena, MT), 14-0, in a league challenge.
