Pennsylvania High School Softball - Hopewell bounces Ellwood City

The Hopewell Vikings softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Ellwood City Wolverine to 1 in the Vikings league win on Wednesday.

The Vikings now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gateway for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. Hopewell will confront a Gators team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Gators record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Ellwood City moves to 9-5 on the season. The Wolverine host Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA) to confront the Quakers in a WPIAL 3A 2 battle on Thursday, May 1. The Quakers come into the battle with a record of 4-7. Quaker Valley won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA)
