Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) supporters left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA), 17-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Great Valley improves its record to 7-9 on the year. The Patriots host Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA) to play the Golden Knights in a Ches-Mont game on Monday, May 5. The Golden Knights enter the game with a record of 16-1. Bayard Rustin won 14-3 in their recent league game against Kennett (Kennett Square, PA)

The Vanguards now hold a 3-11 record. They play next when they host Penncrest for a non-league game on Friday, May 2.
