Pennsylvania High School Softball - Tunkhannock bounces Hazleton Area

April 30, 2025: Tunkhannock, PA 18657

The Tunkhannock Tigers softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars to 0 in the Tigers league win on Wednesday.

The Tigers now possess a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pittston for a Wyoming Valley 1 battle on Friday, May 2. Tunkhannock will confront a Patriots team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Dallas (Dallas, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Hazleton Area moves to 5-8 on the season. The Cougars host Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. The Crusaders come into the battle with a record of 13-1. Holy Cross won 15-0 in their recent league battle against Old Forge (Old Forge, PA)
