New Jersey High School Softball - Matawan Regional sneaks past Monmouth Regional

In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Matawan Regional Huskies softball team scored a tight 4-3 win over the Monmouth Regional Falcons.
The Huskies (8-5) will now prepare for their match against Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ). The Cougars come into the non-league match with a 5-6 record. In their last match, Colts Neck nipped Middletown North (Middletown, NJ), 4-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 2. Monmouth Regional will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Green Wave come into the match with a 1-10 record after their 26-9 league win over Lakewood (Lakewood, NJ).
