The Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves softball team scored 29 runs and held the host Middleburgh Knights to 1 in the Wolves league win on Wednesday.
The Wolves now possess a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherry Valley-Springfield for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville will confront a Patriots team coming off a 9-5 non-league loss to Morris Central/Edmeston Central (Edmeston, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Middleburgh moves to 0-8 on the season. The Knights travel to Fort Plain (Fort Plain, NY) to confront the Hilltoppers in a Section 2 Western - Northern battle on Friday, May 2. The Hilltoppers come into the battle with a record of 3-7. Fort Plain lost 13-3 in their recent league battle against Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY)
