New Jersey High School Softball - Point Pleasant Beach bounces Neptune

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls softball team scored a nice 16-1 victory over the Neptune Scarlet Fliers.

The Garnet Gulls (3-11) will now prepare for their match against Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ). The Bengals go into the non-league match with a 13-4 record. In their last match, Barnegat gained a win over Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ), 7-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Scarlet Fliers battle the Lakewood Piners (Lakewood, NJ) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 2. Neptune will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Piners go into the match with a 0-11 record after their 26-9 league loss to Long Branch (Long Branch, NJ).
