Pennsylvania High School Softball - Plum edges New Castle

April 30, 2025: Pittsburgh, PA 15239

The crowd at Wednesday's league bout between the Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), observed Plum's softball team get by New Castle by a tally of 12-10.

The Mustangs (14-4) will now prepare for their bout against Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA). The Bucs go into the non-league bout with a 5-3 record. In their last bout, Burrell by Knoch (Saxonburg, PA), 13-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hurricanes clash with the Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 5. New Castle will attempt to advance on its 8-9 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Mars (Mars, PA).
