The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the North Polars (North St. Paul, MN) and the host Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN), observed North's softball team get by Simley by a final score of 8-7.

The Polars (8-3) will now prepare for their bout against Tartan (Oakdale, MN). The Titans go into the non-league bout with a 1-11 record. In their last bout, Tartan was nipped by Hastings (Hastings, MN), 5-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Hill-Murray Pioneers (Maplewood, MN) in a Classic Suburban bout, on Thursday, May 1. Simley will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 9-5 league win over South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN).
