The Stearns Minutemen softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Schenck Wolverines to 2 in the Minutemen league win on Wednesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenville for a non-league battle on Monday, May 5. Stearns will confront a Lakers team coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME). The Lakers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Schenck moves to 2-1 on the season. The Wolverines host Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME) to confront the Howlers in a Class D North battle on Monday, May 5. The Howlers come into the battle with a record of 1-0. Penobscot Valley won 10-0 in their recent league battle against Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME)
