Ohio High School Baseball - Mayfield nips Riverside

The Mayfield Wildcats baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Riverside Beavers to 6 in the Wildcats league win on Thursday.

The Wildcats now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Walsh Jesuit for a non-league test on Saturday, May 2. Mayfield will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to University School (Hunting Valley, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Riverside drops to 10-4 on the year. The Beavers host Lake (Uniontown, OH) to clash with the Blue Streaks in a non-league test on Friday, May 1. The Blue Streaks go into the test with a record of 11-4. Lake won 11-6 in their recent league test against McKinley (Canton, OH)
