Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL), 11-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Sycamore improves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Spartans host Morris (Morris, IL) to play the Warriors in a game on Wednesday, May 6. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 7-6.

The Cavaliers now hold a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alleman for a non-league game on Friday, May 1. LaSalle-Peru will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.
