The Watauga Pioneers smashed the visiting Ashe County Huskies soccer squad by a margin of 9-0 in Monday's league match.
The Pioneers now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to South Caldwell for a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Friday, April 8. Watauga will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Ashe County drops to 3-4 on the season. The Huskies travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Friday, April 8. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 1-9. Alexander Central lost 4-2 in their recent league match against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
