In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Hough Huskies soccer squad scored a close 3-1 triumph over the Cox Mill Chargers.
The Huskies (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks come into the Queen City 3A/4A battle with a 1-7 record.
The Chargers (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines come into the Greater Metro 4A battle with a 2-9 record. In their last battle, West Cabarrus by South Iredell (Statesville, NC), 9-0, in a league battle.
