The D.H. Conley Vikings baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the host New Bern Bears to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Monday.
The Vikings (9-0) will now prepare for their match against South Central (Winterville, NC). The Falcons go into the challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, South Central notched a victory over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC), 14-1, in a league challenge.
With the defeat, New Bern falls to 3-6 on the season. The Bears travel to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 6. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. West Carteret won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC)
