The East Surry Cardinals crushed the visiting Mount Airy Granite Bears baseball team by a tally of 9-3 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Starmount for a non-league bout on Wednesday, April 6. East Surry will face a Rams team coming off a 16-10 non-league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-4.
Next, the Granite Bears face the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a bout, on Tuesday, April 5. Mount Airy will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 2-7 record after their 19-0 league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC).
