Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 9-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroon Tide face the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 6. Galax will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Staunton River (Moneta, VA).

The Blue Devils now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Chiswell for a Mountain Empire challenge on Wednesday, April 6. Grayson County will face a Pioneers team coming off a 2-1 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-2.
