Bishop Connolly Cougars (Fall River, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host St. John Paul II Lions (Hyannis, MA), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Martha's Vineyard Regional for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5.
With the loss, St. John Paul II falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Nauset Regional (North Eastham, MA) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 8. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
