In Monday's non-league contest, the Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN), by a margin of 20-4.

With the triumph, Hobart moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Brickies host Wheeler (Valparaiso, IN) to play the Bearcats in a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 5. The Bearcats come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Wheeler lost 2-0 in their recent league contest against Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN)

In their next game, the Trojans play the La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN) in a Duneland contest, on Tuesday, April 5. Chesterton will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Slicers come into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Hobart (Hobart, IN).
