Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East Jessamine Jaguars (Nicholasville, KY), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host Lafayette for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Henry Clay will face a Generals squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Madison Southern (Berea, KY). The Generals record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, East Jessamine falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY) to face the Colts in a District 46 challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Colts enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. West Jessamine won 15-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Frederick Douglass (Lexington, KY)
