The El Monte Lions softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Mountain View Vikings to 5 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, El Monte improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Lions host Sierra Vista (Baldwin Park, CA) to clash with the Dons in a non-league game on Thursday, April 7. The Dons come into the game with a record of 10-10. Sierra Vista lost 5-4 in their recent league game against Nogales (La Puente, CA)

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Rosemead Panthers (Rosemead, CA) in a Mission Valley game, on Wednesday, April 6. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record.
