Falls City Beavers (Falls City, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX), 17-10 in a league challenge.

The Beavers now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Woodsboro for a 2A Region IV District 30 challenge on Saturday, April 9. Falls City will face a Eagles squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Yorktown (Yorktown, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Kenedy falls to 5-10 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Runge (Runge, TX) to face the Yellowjackets in a 1A Region IV District 30 challenge on Friday, April 8. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Runge lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Refugio (Refugio, TX)
