The Hampton Talbots (Allison Park, PA) softball routed the visiting Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), 16-3 in Monday's league bout.
The Talbots (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Fox Chapel (Pittsburgh, PA). The Foxes go into the WPIAL 5A 3 challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Fox Chapel beat Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA), 4-3, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Oakland Catholic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The host Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA) to battle the Titans in a WPIAL 5A 3 challenge on Friday, April 8. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Shaler Area won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Hampton (Allison Park, PA)
