The Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Freedom Patriots to 1 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars (10-4) will now prepare for their match against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the match with a 10-2 record. In their last match, Ashe County was overwhelmed by Watauga (Boone, NC), 13-4, in a league match.
The Patriots (3-8) will now prepare for their match against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Hibriten was overwhelmed by South Caldwell (Hudson, NC), 14-0, in a non-league match.
