Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Deer Valley Skyhawks (Glendale, AZ), 24-22 in a league challenge.

The Owls now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bradshaw Mountain for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 6. Agua Fria will face a Bears squad coming off a 28-1 league win over Mohave (Bullhead City, AZ). The Bears record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Deer Valley falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Skyhawks host Cactus (Glendale, AZ) to face the Cobras in a challenge on Friday, April 7. The Cobras enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Cactus lost 17-7 in their recent league challenge against Estrella Foothills (Goodyear, AZ)
