American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots (Clayton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Community Christian Cyclones (Wilson, NC), 18-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Community Christian for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 24.

With the loss, Community Christian falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cyclones host Northeast Academy (Lasker, NC) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Northeast Academy won 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Community Christian (Wilson, NC)
