Richland Royals (North Richland Hills, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), 6-2 in a league challenge.

The Royals now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Dallas for a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Thursday, April 6. Richland will face a Falcons squad coming off a 15-8 league loss to Ryan (Denton, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Argyle falls to 21-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX) to face the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 15-4. Colleyville Heritage won 8-4 in their recent league challenge against Grapevine (Grapevine, TX)
