North Carolina High School Softball - Watauga loses to Ashe County

The Ashe County Huskies softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Watauga Pioneers to 2 in the Huskies league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Ashe County improves its record to 7-3 on the year. The Huskies host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to clash with the Cougars in a Northwestern 3A/4A game on Wednesday, April 5. The Cougars come into the game with a record of 11-3. Alexander Central won 17-0 in their recent league game against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
In their next game, the Pioneers clash with the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A game, on Wednesday, April 5. Watauga will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 9-2 record after their 11-2 league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
